Merlin (Falco columbarius), catching dragonflies (darners, to be specific) at Joe English conservation area in Amherst (Hillsborough County), New Hampshire. She has just bitten off a thorax, and has one of the legs sticking out of her beak. Of course, being a Merlin, having a full mouth doesn't mean she's not studying every dragonfly still in flight.
